Women are still clearly under-represented at the top management levels of German companies. Less than 10 percent of board seats are currently filled by women. Although a balanced gender ratio in management is widely recognised as a competitive advantage, it is still proving difficult to achieve in practice. Particularly in the digital age, employees that want a successful career will need to engage with the rapid changes occurring across all aspects of life and be prepared to shape those changes. There is a demand for skills such as chaos management and empathy.

But what conditions do companies need to create to ensure both female and male talents are given equal opportunities to become leadership personalities? How can talent development be reinvented so that reflected leadership no longer makes a distinction between the genders.
